About us
Picking an electrician can be difficult. We are proud that the majority of our work comes through word of mouth, recommendations and repeat customers.
We are a family business ran by me (Rob) with the support of my wife and 2 daughters. When you ring up it will be me you speak to and I will be the one quoting, carrying out the work and providing any follow up services. We are fully insured and are DBS checked and are more than happy to provide copies of these documents along with our qualifications.
I am a fully qualified electrician having done a full electrical apprenticeship and also hold a Gold Card. I also hold the following qualifications:
City & Guilds 2391-52 – Inspection & Testing
This qualification covers electrical inspection, testing, and certification. It means I am trained to thoroughly test installations, identify faults, and certify electrical work safely and correctly — including EICRs (Electrical Installation Condition Reports). This is sometimes recognised as being an 'approved electrician' or 'approved contractor'.
City & Guilds 2921 – Electric Vehicle Charging Installation
This qualification covers the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electric vehicle charge points for both domestic and commercial premises. It ensures EV chargers are installed safely, correctly integrated with existing electrical systems, and compliant with current UK standards.
BPEC Solar Photovoltaic Systems
This qualification covers the design and installation of solar PV systems, allowing us to safely install and maintain solar panels for homes and businesses.
BPEC Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS)
This covers the installation of battery storage systems, enabling safe integration of home energy storage alongside solar PV systems and the electrical supply.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
This is the current UK standard for electrical installations. Holding the 18th Edition means all work is carried out in line with the latest safety regulations, ensuring installations are safe, compliant, and up to date with current legal requirements.
We are a Part P registered company
As a member of Napit we can self-certify domestic electrical work. This not only allows us to self-notify any work we carry out to building regs but also gives you the reassurance that we hold the correct qualifications to be able to carry out electrical work.
